Naturally derived "combed cotton" material
The cotton combed beret is made using a technique called "gima processing," which uses a "cotton combed" material that has a unique crisp feel and is lightweight.
The hemp-like processing technique was developed in the Koto region of Shiga Prefecture, which has long been known as a producer of high-quality hemp fabrics. The combed cotton used in this beret is made by fixing cotton threads into a flat shape with a resin made from the natural material konjac, achieving a cool, hemp-like texture. It is a sustainable material that does not use petroleum-derived resin, has little powder shedding, and is durable, making it kind to both the environment and people.
Lightweight and comfortable to wear in summer
